Things to know about the Central California Institute
To invigorate our Red Cross family, strengthen partner relationships, and prepare our communities, the Central California Region is hosting a 3- day Training Institute. This opportunity is designed to motivate, energize, train, and prepare our Red Cross teams throughout the Region. Whether you are new to the Red Cross or have been a volunteer for several years, there something for everyone. We look forward to seeing you there!
You will have a choice between two tickets: Central California Institute Commuter or Central California Institute Overnighter. Overnight tickets are $35 and Commuter tickets are $25. Both tickets are good for one to three days of training, depending on your course selections. |
What to bring
- Your Red Cross flexibility, eagerness for collaboration, and, of course, your sense of humor. It's going to be an energizing weekend!
- Bakersfield will be heating up in June, but the classrooms will be pumping the AC. Please pack clothing appropriately for the hotness outside, but the crisp, coolness inside. Vintage Red Cross clothes and pin exchange welcomed!
- Similar to last year, a ‘Please Read Me’ document will be sent out prior to the start of the Institute. It’s important you read through the entire packet so you know what to expect before arriving. This will include a reminder of things to pack, maps of the facility, things to do in Bakersfield if you have some down time, all the details around the schedule, and MUCH MORE!
